Music Business Internship
Hello! My name is Matt Fagerland, and I interned with a couple different places. My first internship was with Castle Theater in Normal back in 2018, and my second was with Joyce Meyer Ministries in St. Louis, MO. Both internships gave me great and vastly different experiences. At the Castle Theater, my duties consisted of helping move and set up the bands' equipment. But in between shows, Jay Lowers taught the interns about all different aspects of the music industry, such as different kinds of venues and contracts. On occasion I would also go shopping for the bands rider and set it up for them in the green room. Then you get to watch a free show! It was so great because I got to experience a lot of different kinds of music that I normally wouldn't listen to, and even found some bands that I still listen to to this day!
